Community Snapshots: Cash Mob at Sisters Antiques

A small but dedicated group of shoppers came out to support this local Issaquah business, joined by news crews and the Issaquah Chamber of Commerce.

Though a chilly afternoon dampened a few outdoor tables, spirits were high at the Young Issaquah Professionals' second , held at in Issaquah.

Patty Green, the owner of Sisters, said the community support was heartwarming, and the cash infusion--$650 dollars by 5:15 p.m., one hour after the mob was officially opened--was more than welcome for the small store.

Though Sisters, which is nestled next to a larger Antique Gallery on Gilman Boulevard, is small on space, it's big on products, with an eclectic blend of a little bit of everything. Shoppers from the Young Issaquah Professionals picked up vintage teacups for a later tea party meeting they plan to hold, and YIP Chair Audrey Slade's daughter found a dozen or so keys she simply had to buy.

Many shoppers took home their purchases in their own Patch canvas shopping bags (warming my heart, too).

Check out our photos from the event, and if you were there, share your own, too!
