Plateau Runner Celebrates Grand Opening this Weekend

The locally owned running apparel store is holding specials and giveaways throughout the weekend, and Sammamish Mayor Tom Odell will cut the grand opening ribbon today at noon.

Don't miss the grand opening weekend of Plateau Runner at the Saffron Center
22830 N.E. 8th Street Suite 103.

At noon today, Sammamish Mayor Tom Odell will participate in a Ribbon Cutting ceremony with the Sammamish Chamber of Commerce, and the new running apparel store will hold specials and give-aways throughout the weekend.

The store was launched in November by Mark and Elizabeth Steen and Todd Starnes, Sammamish residents who were tired of having to travel to find good running gear.

Starnes is an exercise scientist and avid cyclist as well as jogger, who also has volunteer coached for Eastlake High School cross country and track.

The owners offer weekly runs, including a Kids Club run on Saturday mornings, and a wide variety of running shoes and clothing, including local brands.
