Swedish/Issaquah Hospital Welcomes First Baby
Baby girl born on second day of inpatient services punctuates celebratory mood at the new hospital.
Just one day after opening up Phase II and beginning inpatient services, Swedish/Issaquah Hospital welcomed its first newborn at 7:23 am today, an 8 pound baby girl named Liliana.
"It's a great way to celebrate the opening of inpatient services," said Ed Boyle, Swedish Health Services media relations manager.
Hospital administrators presented Liliana and her parents, Zulma Gutierrez-Tiznado and Francisco Javier Rodriguez of Issaquah, with a congratulatory gift basket of items donated by the Shops at Swedish.
