Teen Fest 2011 at Sammamish Commons on Friday saw about 50 to 60 young skateboarders participate in a competition before Seattle rap artist Macklemore performed in the evening.

The skaters spun, jumped, slid and flew through the air.

Sammamish Patch sat under the sun to watch some of Sammamish's finest - in the skateboard world, that is - perform for the crowd.

Earlier this year, Sammamish Patch visited the skatepark to capture the action through photographs.

There was something beautiful then - and now - with humans enjoying flight and realizing, again, that gravity has laws that come with it.
