Issaquah, WA – On November 23-25, members of Eastside Fire & Rescue (EF&R), First Due Movers, and Fred Meyer teamed up for a food, toy, and clothing drive setting up at the Fred Meyer Shopping Center parking lot in Issaquah. Volunteers from the Issaquah and Mt. Si Food
Bank, and off-duty EF&R personnel and their families provided support for the event. Firefighter Kyle Houston
Over the three day event, ten tons (20,000 lbs) of food, toys, and clothing items were collected, and $3,800 in cash donations ($2,800 citizen donations, $1,000 Chevron
Corporation). Combined with the hard work of many and the generosity from the public, several families in need will
be helped this holiday season. All donations go to the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank and the Mt. Si Food Bank in North Bend.
Thank you to the citizens of our community who supported our efforts this year. You can still help a family this season by dropping off a food or new unwrapped toy donation at one of our staffed fire stations.
