Eastside Fire Sponsors Blood Drive

On Monday, July 1, the Puget Sound Bloodmobile will be at Eastside Fire & Rescue’s Administrative Headquarters located at 175 Newport Way NW in downtown Issaquah between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. The bloodmobile will be closed from 1:00 and 2:00 p.m.

Eastside Fire & Rescue is working with the Puget Sound Blood Center to increase awareness in the benefits of being a blood donor.

  • Goal – Puget Sound Blood Center needs to get their blood supply above four days and to keep it at that level as we move into the holiday week before July 4.
  • Fact – Puget Sound Blood Center needs to meet this goal in order to stay above critical and emergency levels.

We encourage the community to come out and donate, especially before the upcoming holiday weekend begins. To sign-up you can contact Jenny Oltmann, Firefighter with Eastside Fire & Rescue, at joltmann@esf-r.org.  Walk-ins will be accepted with priority given to appointments.  Donors with appointments may experience shorter wait times.  Become a life-saving donor on July 1.
