Please help support my run across America!

My name is Kenzie Miller and I am a 22 year old from Issaquah. This summer I have the incredible opportunity to run across America with 4K for Cancer. This is a 42 day, 4000+ mile trek starting near the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and finishing in Baltimore, Maryland. Myself and about 30 other young adults from all over the country will run from sea to shining sea in a relay-esque way. This run raises funds and awareness for The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults (UCF) whose mission is to enhance lives by supporting, educating, and connecting young adults and their loved ones affected by cancer. This is mainly accomplished through college scholarships for young adults impacted by cancer and programs, such as the 4K, to spread awareness, raise funds, and offer support for the young adult cancer fight.

In order to participate in this run, I must first raise $4,500 before we lace up our shoes and take our first steps heading East. While some money will go towards supporting the trip, the UCF spends 88% directly on mission related programs. I am extremely humbled to be chosen to participate in this run and to have to chance to help support such a great organization.

In hopes of spreading holiday cheer and getting one step closer to reaching my fundraising goal, I’m selling homemade Christmas ornaments! There is a suggested donation of $5 per ornament, or $25 for a box of 6. For a box, you can tell me which ones you want or I can put together a variety pack to surprise you! Ornaments include Rudolph, cancer awareness ribbon, glitter (red, silver, multi), and paper curlies (many colors!).  Check out the photo!

If you’re interested in supporting the UCF and having a homemade Christmas ornament to remind you of your generosity, send me an email at kenziemiller@hotmail.com with what you would like.  All proceeds will go directly to the UCF.  Tree already full but still want to donate? Visit  http://4kforcancer.org/profiles/kenzie-miller/ to make a donation and impact someone’s life today!

I hope you’ll join me in supporting this important cause by making a tax deductible donation, making this run a reality, and improving the lives of young adults and their loved ones affected by cancer.
