Adopt This Pet: Chino the Chihuahua

Motley Zoo Rescue is looking for "Chino's forever home."

Chino is a young 6-pound male Chihuahua. He is crate trained and working on getting housebroken. Due to his small size, he would be best with dog-respectful children ages 8 years or older. He has not had experience with cats but seems like he would learn how to live with one if given some boundaries.

Notes from Chino's Foster Home: Chino is a cuddly dog! He's a silly, goofy and sweet little guy who will need work on training to learn his manners. He can climb like a monkey, no joke - and so your dinner is not safe if there is a chair not pushed in! He is of course learning the ropes of being a dog - but you will need to help him with obedience, boundaries and rules. He will benefit from continued crate training, both for his manners and potty training. When you're free however, he'd love to curl up in your arms and give some kisses and settle in for the evening. He loves playing with his foster pals, though he can be somewhat intimidated and overwhelmed by much bigger dogs. Chino is, in general, a really loving and sweet little guy with a bit of a mischievous side - it's hard to be mad at such a cute face though!

All potential adopters fill out an application, are interviewed and have the opportunity to visit the dogs. Fees depend on the veterinarian care that has been given. All adoptable pets have vaccinations and are spayed, neutered, microchipped and flea-treated. Many have dental work done if they are older. Motley Zoo is always looking for foster homes. Fostering is a great way to "test out" your family to see if you are ready for a permanent pet.
