Adopt This Pet: Meet Cosmo and Latté

These active teenage cats are two sides of the same coin. Cosmo is relaxed and mellow, and Latté is a bundle of youthful energy.

Cosmo and Latte are six-month old male siblings who were rescued after surviving the flooding in Joplin, Missouri and transferred here for a new start at life. They each weigh about five to seven pounds, and are healthy and good around other cats and dogs (with a proper introduction, of course!) They are also happy to be around children 8 years and older who treat cats respectfully.

Both cats are health, microchipped, vaccinated and neutered, and they come with 30 days of free pet insurance provided by Shelter Care. The fee to adopt one of these cute guys is $150, or $275 altogether if you can give them both a “forever” home together. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs.

Notes from their foster home:

Cosmo is a lover, not a fighter. He's a mellow little guy who is quiet and easy going. He loves to get attention from people. He loves to be held and he will come to your feet for a quick cuddle at any given time. He has an adorable purr and he's not afraid to use it to get some more love. He is an adorably sweet boy who cannot wait to find his forever home!

Latte is an energetic little guy who is full of adventure. If the energizer bunny was a kitten, Latte would fit the bill. He is constantly running, playing and looking for mischief. He is the first to the food bowl and loves to "hunt" his brother Cosmo. He's a funny little man who can't wait to find a new adventure in his forever home!

Motley Zoo Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization run entirely by volunteers. Motley Zoo does not have a brick and mortar shelter location. Instead, all of its rescue animals are cared for in private foster homes where the animals receive one-on-one care and attention in a home environment until permanent placement is found. Please email adopt@motleyzoo.org and request an adoption application if you’re interested in giving these sweet teenage kitties a forever home! For more information, please visit www.motleyzoo.org.

We too, love having our Farmers' Market return! Opening day was a bit weather-challenged. ThankRead More you merchants for enduring the wet and cold for our new extended hours! What a wonderful sight will return to the plaza when the sunshine calls back all the families with happy, giggling children. Market day is a date of dinner out (side) & shopping (vegetables, fruits and now HedgeHog Toffee) with my husband. Doesn't get much better than that! SEE YOUR THERE! Susan Gerend
