Adopt This Pet: Princeton the Pomeranian

Motley Zoo Rescue is looking for Princeton's "forever" home.

Princeton is a lovely 5- to 6-year-old male Pomeranian. He lived a lonely life outdoors until he was given to a neighbor. All dogs want to be inside a home and feel like they're a part of the family. Motley Zoo Rescue is looking for that family to give Princeton the life he should have had from the beginning. Due to his size, he is great with dog-respectful children ages 8 years and older.

He is great with cats since he ignores them  and also likes other dogs. Since he lived outdoors,  he will need his new family to be patient with house training. He is learning and with consistency and time, he will be great at it. As you can imagine, Princeton loves being indoors with people and is very sweet and affectionate.

Notes from Princeton's Foster Home: Princeton is a very sweet, silly dog. He likes other dogs and all people. He's happy to be wherever you are! Princeton is good on his leash, although sometimes he spins in little circles when he's excited (not around you, just in place, which is actually pretty cute). His spinning doesn't affect his ability to go on a nice, leashed walk. He loves to sit with people and even nestles in like a baby, on his back. He's a quiet dog who will also rest happily at your feet. He has a lot of love to give and likes to show his affection with kisses. He's a great dog who wants a family to devote all his love to full time!

Princeton was groomed recently but he is a Pomeranian so he'll need frequent grooming, about once a month.

Notes about adopting: All potential adopters fill out an application, are interviewed and have the opportunity to visit the dogs. Fees depend on the veterinarian care that has been given. Since animal rescues are run entirely by volunteers,  costs need to be reimbursed so the rescue can continue to save more dogs. All adoptable pets have vaccinations and are spayed, neutered, microchipped and flea-treated. Many have dental work done if they are older.  Motley Zoo is always looking for foster homes. Fostering is a great way to "test out" your family to see if you are ready for a permanent pet.
