Get Out! Weekend Planner: Berry Festival, Artists' Reception and More...

Here are some fun activities to check out this weekend, before the July 4 festivities begin next week.

Here are some of Patch's picks for fun in Sammamish this weekend:

Berry Festival at Remlinger Farms

Remlinger Farms is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. now for strawberry- and raspberry-picking, and this weekend, the berry fetival begins, with added rides and Remlinger's infamous Strawberry Shortcake, offered for the next three weekends. Berries are sold by the pound and are weighed when you are done picking right there in the field. Since the farm uses only natural fertilizers, our berries are safe to eat right from the field!

The farm is located nearby in Carnation, at 32610 NE 32nd Street
Carnation, Washington 98014. (425) 333-4135

The combined art exhibit, “An Artistic Journey," featuring Sammamish artists Carol Ross and Anna Macrae will open at the Commons Gallery of the on Friday, June 29, 2012 with an artists’ reception from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The exhibit will remain on view until October 10, 2012.

It's the final Issaquah weekend of this hilarious musical romp at When an out-of-luck Broadway producer and his nervous accountant hatch a plan to mount a guaranteed Broadway flop in order to turn some quick cash, their wrongful scheming goes wildly awry. With swingin’ tunes and a vaudeville feel, this show is loaded with laughs and dazzling choreography that is sure to leave stars in your eyes. Tickets start at $22, but check out the comments at the end of for a special discount code.

We too, love having our Farmers' Market return! Opening day was a bit weather-challenged. ThankRead More you merchants for enduring the wet and cold for our new extended hours! What a wonderful sight will return to the plaza when the sunshine calls back all the families with happy, giggling children. Market day is a date of dinner out (side) & shopping (vegetables, fruits and now HedgeHog Toffee) with my husband. Doesn't get much better than that! SEE YOUR THERE! Susan Gerend
