Sammamish Prep Sports Quarter- and Semi-final games

  • Check out our roundup of when and where to catch your favorite local high school teams as they push forward in playoff and state championship play on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 18 and 19.
  • Where/When: 1-3 p.m. on Sat, Nov. 19 at Lower Commons Park, located below .
  • Why Go: Join other volunteers as they remove invasive plants and add native plants that will enhance the Lower Commons Park this Saturday afternoon. Dress for the weather, and wear boots or closed toe shoes and bring work gloves. This project is perfect for students looking to complete community service hours for school.

  • Where/When: 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at.
  • Why Go: Unwind with comedy this weekend by taking in an improv show at Second Story Repertory. The show on Friday evening is rated PG-13, whereas the next day's "Sinful Saturdays" performance will be for adults only. Whatever your preference, you'll be guaranteed a unique show that will incorporate audience suggestions into the action.
  • Pricing: Admission is $15.
  • Where/When: 2-3:30 p.m. on Sat, Nov. 19 at Cascade Plaza Assisted Living in Redmond.
  • Why Go: Cascade Plaza Assisted Living is holding a benefit concert to help raise awareness and donations for Hopelink's local foodbank. The concert will feature the wonderful musical group, Ancient Sounds, whose ethereal music will transport you to mystical places.
  • Pricing: Free. Please bring a non perishable food donation to help those in need.
  • Where/When: 8 a.m. on Sat, Nov. 19 at in Redmond.
  • Why Go: Join the City of Redmond for their first four mile Poultry Predictor race this Saturday at the Mackey Creek shelter in Farrel McWhirter Park. The race is open to all levels of runners because finishing first is not the objective. Runners must guess their running time before the race begins and those that finish closest to those times are the winners. The five participants who finish the closest to their predicted times will each win a frozen turkey just in time for Thanksgiving.

  • Where/When: 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at the.
  • Why Go: If you didn’t catch the StoryBook Theater’s production of The Boy Who Cried Wolf last weekend, here’s you’re last chance before it’s gone. So grab the kids and introduce them to the hilarious world of musical theatre.
  • Pricing: Tickets are $9.
