Great Escape: 'Billy Elliott The Musical' Closes in Seattle on Sunday
Seattle gets a taste of Broadway with 'Billy Elliott The Musical,' which closes this weekend.
Wish you could get to New York and see a great Broadway production but just don't have the time to leave the Seattle area? Then, treat yourself to a production in Seattle. But do it quickly! "Billy Elliot The Musical" ends its local run at the Paramount Theatre on April 3 before continuing on its North American tour.
The Paramount offers a fabulous experience of live theater. And if you have never seen a Broadway musical, you won't be disappointed. As described on the Seattle Theatre Group's website: "BILLY ELLIOT THE MUSICAL is a joyous celebration of one young boy's triumph against the odds. Called 'The most inspiring show I've seen in years' by Ben Brantley of The New York Times, the story follows Billy's journey as he stumbles out of the boxing ring, into a ballet class and discovers his dream to dance: thrilling audiences worldwide and winning ten 2009 Tony Awards including Best Musical."
"Billy Elliot The Musical," will be performed on Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 1 and 6:30 p.m.

Tickets range from $25 for the back of the theatre seating, to $130 for VIP seating. A sign language interpreted performance is on Sunday at 1 p.m. More ticket information can be found on the Seattle Theatre Group website, including discounts for students, educators and seniors.
