Moms Talk Q & A: The Floor is Open for Conversation

Sammamish Patch is starting this new weekly feature to help moms and anyone involved in parenting ask questions and get answers to help kids be their best.

Moms Talk is a new feature on Sammamish Patch that is part of a new initiative on our Patch sites to reach out to moms and families.

Sammamish Patch invites you and your circle of friends to help build a community of support for mothers and their families right here on the Sammamish Plateau.

Each week, we take your questions, give advice and share solutions.

Moms, dads, grandparents and the diverse families who make up our community will have a new resource for questions about local neighborhood schools, the best pediatricians, 24-hour pharmacies and the thousands of other issues that arise while raising children.

Moms Talk will also be the place to drop in for a talk about the latest parenting hot topic. Do you know of local moms raising their children in the Tiger Mother's way and is it the best way? Where can we get information on local flu shot clinics for children? How can we help our children's schools weather their budget cutbacks?

So grab a cup of coffee and settle in as we start the conversation with a question from Carmela Amador, a Sammamish mom and contributing writer to Sammamish Patch.

Her question is: As a mom, what type of online parenting resources would you like to see for Sammamish or the Eastside?

In that light, what type of parenting sites for the Eastside do you know about and want to share with others? What are good ones to help moms save time?

One good resource is Ruby Slipper Guide to the Eastside. Patch.com in the Seattle area is partnering with Ruby Slipper to produce the weekly feature.

In the comment box below, let us and others know. Thanks!
