Aug. 4: Preschool Story Time at the

• 10 to 10:45 a.m.
• Children ages 3- to 6-years-old will build early literacy skills while enjoying stories, music and activities designed for creative learning. Siblings are welcome. Children need to have an adult caretaker.

Aug. 5: Tales of the Trickster at the

• 1 to 2 p.m.
• Children ages 3 years and older will explore tales of magic from Africa, Europe and the United States on an adventure that includes multicultural stories, music, instruments and artifacts. 
• Cost: Free but arrive early as seating may be limited.

Aug. 6: Zucchini Races at

• 11 a.m.
• Come participate in the "Indy 500" of vegetable-themed events. Yes, you'll be able to make a car out of a zucchini. The market vendors will supply the materials and you could win a prize. The market is at 7730 Leary Way NE in Redmond.
• Cost: Free

Aug. 6: Kids Workshop at the Redmond

• 9 a.m. to noon
• Children ages 5- to 12-years-old will build a wooden pencil box as a back-to-school project. All participants get to keep their completed box, a kids workshop apron, commemorative pin and certificate of achievement.
• Cost: Free 

Aug. 10: Toy Story 3 at Movies@Marymoor 

• 7 p.m. seating opens, movie starts at dusk
• The whole family, including well-behaved dogs, are invited to enjoy an outdoor movie experience at . Seating is on grass so bring a blanket or low back chair. 
• Cost: $5 per person, plus $1 parking fee per car.
