Fun activities and some sweet deals for the whole family this upcoming week.

EVENTS FOR FAMILIES, April 27 – May 4

April 28: Hindi Children’s Story Time at the

4 p.m.

For families with children ages three and up. Enjoy stories told in English and Hindi.  Language learning fun for everyone with puppets, music and rhyme.

April 29: Family Game Night at in

7 p.m. to Midnight

Unplugged family fun. Bring your own favorite board game to play or try some of the demo games. Have a great time and enjoy a 15 percent discount on any purchase.

April 30: Mercer Island Preschool Association (MIPA) Circus at

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Mercer Island Preschool Association's Circus began in 1966 as a Dr. Seuss inspired carnival called Circus McGurkus for the children of Mercer Island. Since then, it has grown into a festival that attracts hundreds of families from all over Seattle and the Eastside. The 45th annual MIPA Circus offers a toddlerpalooza of fun including pony rides, face painting, cupcake walk, bouncy houses and live entertainment. Toddler pleasing snacks and beverages for sale.

Cost: Free admission. Some activities require tickets which are 50 cents each.

April 30: El Dia de los Ninos/Dia de Los Libros (Child Day/Book Day) Children’s Festival at and the

1 to 4 p.m.

This Children’s Day celebration advocates literacy for children of all linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Enjoy live entertainment including story telling, and Chris Ballew, also known as  and the steel drum and dance performing ensemble Bakra Bata on the Crossroads Stage and community booths.

April 30: Earth Day Celebration at

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Come on out and have some fun celebrating nature at Beaver Lake Park. Enjoy walking tours of Beaver Lake Park, wildlife photos, activities for kids, fishing demonstrations, a raptor display, live music, visits by Ranger Rick and much more!

Designed for families and individuals of all ages, Earth Day at Beaver Lake Park will also celebrate the city’s recent designation as a Community Wildlife Habitat, an honor from the National Wildlife Foundation that only 12 cities in the entire state have managed to earn!
