Things to do

Nov. 23: Thankful I’m Me! A Concert for Preschoolers at the

  • 10 am to 11 am and 11 am to noon
  • For kids age two and older with an adult caretaker
  • Come sing and dance with Charlie Hope, winner of the Independent Music and Parent’s Silver Awards. She will sing well-known children’s songs, as well as originals, all promoting positive messages about things relevant to young children. Hope has a degree in art therapy and incorporates elements of rhyme and storytelling to help children develop language skills with fun, interactive music.
  • Cost: Free

Nov. 25: Snowflake Lane Returns to Bellevue Way and NE 8th

  • 7 pm
  • Join the nightly display of lights, music, live toy soldiers drumming and magical snow Nov. 25 until Dec.24th. Line up prior to 7 pm along the sidewalks of the (, and ). 
  • Cost: Free

Nov. 28, 29 & 30th: Free Nights at Garden D’Lights

  • 5 - 10 pm
  • For the whole family.
  • Enjoy seeing the Bellevue Botanical Garden transformed into the magical Garden D’Lights by over a half a million lights.
  • Cost: Free. No tickets are required on Free Nights but it is “first come, first serve” as capacity allows, so plan to come early or late. Directions and information on parking options is available online.

Nov. 28: Sammamish Plateau Parent Networking Group Meeting at the 

  • 11:30 am to 1:30 pm
  • For parents.
  • Parenting coach Bill Dean will present information on how parents of tweens and teens can help children who are struggling and how parents of younger children can better prepare for the challenges ahead of parenting tweens and teens.
  • The Sammamish Plateau Parent Networking group meets throughout the year. More information on the group is available by contacting Cherry O’Neill at 206 550-3809 or dwo-mci@msn.com.
  • Cost: Free

Nov. 28: Pajama Story Time at the

  • 7 - 8 pm
  • For children ages two to six with an adult caregiver. Families welcome.
  • Enjoy stories, puppets, music and movement in your pjs.
  • Cost: Free

We too, love having our Farmers' Market return! Opening day was a bit weather-challenged. ThankRead More you merchants for enduring the wet and cold for our new extended hours! What a wonderful sight will return to the plaza when the sunshine calls back all the families with happy, giggling children. Market day is a date of dinner out (side) & shopping (vegetables, fruits and now HedgeHog Toffee) with my husband. Doesn't get much better than that! SEE YOUR THERE! Susan Gerend
