Two Local Resources for Your Annual Mammogram

Evergreen's Mobile Mammogram Coach and Swedish Issaquah Offer Two Convenient Local Options For Your Next Mammogram

Soon it will be October and “breast cancer awareness month”. Early detection remains one of the best routes to a cure for women diagnosed with breast cancer. And now there are two very convenient options in Sammamish and Issaquah for mammography exams.

If you are in Sammamish on Wednesdays, you may have seen the Evergreen Medical Center’s Mobile Mammography Coach parked next to Saffron Plaza. The coach offers the same services you can schedule at the Kirkland Evergreen Breast Health Center, in privacy and comfort. The exams are performed by certified radiologic technologists and the images are interpreted by board-certified radiologists. You can view the Mammography Coach schedule online and make an appointment by calling 425 899-2831.

If you live in Issaquah you can also schedule your next mammogram nearby at the Swedish Issaquah campus. Mammography services are offered at Swedish Issaquah at the Medical Imaging center on the first floor of the campus.  Schedule an appointment by calling 425 313-5400.

In addition to mammography services including same-day appointments, the Issaquah campus offers classes related to breast health. On Wednesday, October 9, from 6 pm to 8 pm, Swedish Issaquah will offer a class entitled, “The Angelina Effect: Am I at Risk for Breast Cancer”. The program will offer information to help women learn if they may be at higher risk for breast cancer and should perhaps consider genetic testing and what lifestyle changes might reduce the risk of breast cancer.  Register for the class by calling 206 386-2502 or online.
