Win Tickets to the Puyallup Fair, 'Get Your Happy On!'

Patch is giving away dozens of tickets to the Puyallup Fair. Just sign up for a free email newsletter below for a chance to win.

We've heard the questions: What's been missing in my life these past few months? How can I put an exclamation point on my summer? And can that exclamation point include fried food on a stick?

Here at Patch, we have your answer. Better still, we'll give it to you for free.

Sign up for a Patch newsletter today and you will be entered to win one of dozens of free pairs of tickets to the Puyallup Fair, which runs Sept. 7-23. Even better, if you tell us why we should send your whole family, you'll get a chance to win the Patch Family Pack:

• four fair tickets (kids 5 and under are free, by the way)

• a Patch tote bag to hold those fair souvenirs

• assorted Patch goodies such as magnets, pens and balloons

• and a story and photo of you and your family on Sammamish-Issaquah Patch.

Here's how: Simply fill out the form for a chance to win a pair of tickets. If you want the family pack, write us a note in the comments section at the end of this story explaining in 200 words or less why Patch should send you and your family to the state's biggest fair.

Each Thursday for the next three weeks, through Sept. 13, we'll hand out one pair of tickets and one family pack to lucky winners from Sammamish-Issaquah. Winners will be notified by email.

See you at the Puyallup!

Here's the fine print (click on the attached PDF for complete official rules):

  • Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 and older.
  • To enter, sign up for the newsletter in the form above with your name, email and Patch town.
  • All entries must be received by Sept. 13, 2012, noon Pacific time.
  • You may enter as often as you want.
  • Three individual winners and three family pack winners will be selected in a random drawing on Sammamish-Issaquah Patch. Tickets are valued at $12.50 each. Fair parking is not included and is the responsbility of the winner. Limit one prize per household.

My family of 6 would love to win tickets to the fair! We just moved here from Utah, and the Utah State Fair was an annual tradition for us. We are looking forward to making the Puyallup Fair a tradition in Washington, and winning tickets would help make that happen!

We moved here in January from the Southwest and are loving getting to know all the great things about our new home here in the Northwest! There's so much to do and so much diversity. We have heard the Puyallup Fair was something we didn't want to miss and look forward to another wonderful experience here in Washington to make us love it even more!

You guys rock, Cindy and Carinne. My fingers are crossed for you both for the random drawing, and thanks for using Patch to help you get to know your new, awesome, community. The Puyallup Fair is really fun. I went for the first time last year and my son and I really enjoyed it.

Would love tickets for our family. My daughter is 6 and we are natives to Washington and its a tradition through multiple generations to attend! We make sure to go every year at least once, and usually bring visitors as its such a great family experience. We have lived in Sammamish for 7 years and proud to call it home :)

Love this family pack idea! We have recently relocated here from Minnesota. I grew up on a grain farm in Northern MN, and was very involved with 4-H and the fair. The MN state fair always landed on my birthday, so every year as a kid we celebrated with everything fun at the fair! I have kept this tradition with my husband and now 4 children. We have not had our fair experience this year, and I am hoping to check out the WA fair this year with our family! The kids can't wait!

I have already signed up for the newsletter, but wanted to toss my name in for the tickets. I love going and taking my family. Short and easy! Do the Puyallup!

Thanks for entering, Krystal, Kari, and Tanya. We'll have our final random drawing this afternoon for both the family pack and the final pair of tickets, so watch your email for a congratulations note from me!
