With 10,000 Eggs in the Grass, Sammamish Residents Enjoy sun, Celebrate Easter at Y's Eggstravaganza

An estimated 2,000 people showed up at the Sammamish Family YMCA on Saturday, as kids searched for eggs, played games and hugged the Easter bunny.

An estimated 2,000 people showed up Saturday at the Sammamish Family YMCA, as they enjoyed the sun and kids plucked candy- and toy-filled eggs from the grass.

The YMCA held its annual Eggstravaganza event on the Issaquah side of the Plateau and drew families from Sammamish and the Eastside.

Sammamish Family YMCA Director Kim Payne said one of the best things about the event is watching kids show up year after year.
