'Gossamer' and 'Simple Measures' to Blend Music, Art at Free Performance

Discover a vibrant world of sound, texture, and emotion as Gossamer and Simple Measures combine their talents to create a classical music concert that is anything but “typical.” Described as an “enchanted entanglement of music, nature, and visual art,” the performance will feature projections, special lighting, and beautiful sets and costumes.

Simple Measures is a Seattle-based group devoted to spreading the pleasures of classical music. They strive to make chamber music more approachable for avid enthusiasts and the inexperienced alike by bringing world-class musicians to local neighborhoods. The intimate and small group setting allows attendees to engage with the artists, ask questions and feel the passion and energy of each artist.

Gossamer is composed of five Seattle-based artists – a photographer, painter, musician, curator, and costume and clothing designer – who entwine their artistry to create a living tapestry of sound, color, texture and emotion.
