Sammamish Families: The Harmonica Pocket to Perform Friday at Sammamish Library (video)

The 3 p.m. musical event is free and ideal for kids.

Editor's note: This event is over - but enjoy the video.

The weather is expected to be sunny on Friday in Sammamish - but families, if you're looking for a fun, educational indoor music event for the kids, drop by the to hear The Harmonica Project.

The group, which uses a guitar, hula hoop and sing-along tunes, will have a free performance as part of the event's overall theme, "Tales from a Small Planet."

The event will incorporate dancing, books and, of course, singing. It starts at 3 p.m. and ends at 4 p.m.

It's ideal for kids who are at least 2 years old. The library asks that a parent or guardian accompany children to the event.

We at Sammamish Patch thought you'd enjoy this video preview, of sorts, of The Harmonica Pocket. This video is from the King County Library System channel on YouTube - and is from 2009, when the group performed at the Issaquah Library.

One interesting note: The group says that its website is powered by renewable energy and that at least one song used solar electricity in the recording process.
