Sammamish Patch Offers a Quick List of Oscar Nominees, Just in Time for Sunday Night

The Oscars air live at 5 pm on Sunday on ABC.

Whether you tune in for your favorite movies or for the glamorous red carpet gowns, millions of viewers are expected to watch the 83rd Academy Awards this Sunday. James Franco and Anne Hathaway will be sharing hosting duties this year. The Oscars will air live Feb. 27 at 5 pm on ABC.

We at Sammamish Patch might not be the best experts on motion pictures. But we realize that many of you enjoy following the plots, cinematography and actors and directors who bring scripts to life. So, we bring you this.

Akiko Oda, editor of Gig Harbor Patch, was kind enough to compile this list and the introduction paragraph. We've added links to the motion pictures that might win. So, you can see trailers as you ponder which film is worthy of an Oscar.
