Cold Stone Creamery Holds Ice Cream Social Fundraiser for Make-A-Wish Foundation

The event will be held Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Cold Stone Creamery stores.

Sammamish ice cream lovers: Gather around Tuesday evening for a good cause and a sweet time.

Cold Stone Creamery is hosting what it is calling the "World's Largest Ice Cream Social" as part of an event to help raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants children with life-threatening medical conditions a dream come true.

On Tuesday, Sept. 27, drop by a Cold Stone Creamery from 5 to 8 p.m. and you'll be able to enjoy a free, 3-ounce sample of the company's "Sprinkled With Wishes Creation." That is made of sweet cream ice cream, fudge, brownie and rainbow sprinkles.

If you'd like, you can donate money to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. At Cold Stone, you'll be able to give $1 for a Make-A-Wish paper star. In fact, you can donate money to the Make-A-Wish Foundation at Cold Stone stores through the end of September.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation notes that it grants a wish to a child every 40 minutes. In the Seattle area last year, the foundation gave "Electron Boy" the chance to live his dream. This month, that boy died. He was 14. The Seattle Seahawks also have worked with the foundation to help kids be with guys in the big leagues.
