Microsoft Leaving Issaquah Office Complex, Selling Land Nearby

Microsoft is reportedly not renewing a lease at Sammamish Park Place and is trying to sell land in Issaquah Highlands.

The Puget Sound Business Journal is reporting Microsoft will not renew its lease for one of three buildings at a large office complex in North Issaquah, which employs approximately 2,900 people.

According to the report, owners Vulcan Real Estate said the company will not renew a lease at Sammamish Park Place, a 587,000-square-foot office campus in Issaquah, for one building at 21930 S.E. 51st St.

News that Microsoft is reducing its footprint in Issaquah also comes after a recent statement by Issaquah City Administrator Bob Harrison that the software giant is trying to sell the 63-acre site it has owned in the Issaquah Highlands since at least 2002.

Microsoft did not offer any comment on this story.
