New Sammamish Liquor Store, Plateau Spirits, to be Cash Mobbed Friday

The Sammamish Chamber of Commerce hopes to help Plateau Spirits get off to a good start with its first Cash Mob event Friday, Aug. 3

The plans to help Plateau Spirits celebrate its grand opening mobster-style.

The chamber will hold its first Cash Mob in Sammamish Friday, Aug. 3 from 5-7 p.m., at Plateau Spirits, owned by Sammamish residents Dae and Jin Kim, (Note that shoppers must be 21 or older to participate).

In addition to 10 percent off wine, liquor, and spirits offered by the store during the event, appetizers will be offered.

At a Cash Mob, residents are invited to come to a local business en masse to give it a cash infusion. There's no spending limit, but generally people plan to spend around $20. Several other local chambers have launched cash mob programs in recent months, including the and the .

The store is located in the Sammamish Highlands Shopping Center, at 510 228th Avenue NE.

The Kims operate the store from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and offers customers the benefit of including the state's hefty liquor taxes in its prices to reduce consumer sticker shock at the register, according to a profile of the business in the Sammamish Review.
