Hello readers. Sammamish Patch Editor Brad Wong will be off this week as he celebrates his parents' 50th wedding anniversary in California. 

I'll be filling in once again as guest editor while he is away. I've been writing for Sammamish Patch since the site went live in late 2010, and my work can also be read on Bellevue Patch, Redmond Patch and Kirkland Patch.
