Update: 244th Avenue in Sammamish Near 3rd Street Open to Traffic
Overhead utility lines were dangerously low, the city said, but the problem has been resolved.
Update: The utility lines have been removed from the roadway and 244th Avenue NE is now open to traffic in both directions.

Original Story: 244th Avenue NE is currently closed near NE 3rd Street as of 4:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13. The overhead utility lines are dangerously low above the roadway. The utility companies have been notified and are on their way to repair them so we can safely reopen the roadway. In the meantime please use alternative routes.
