In my old home town, we had two seasons--winter and construction.
It seems at the moment like Sammamish and Issaquah sort of fit that description, too. Yesterday I was driving to on 244th, but getting there, with construction crews and flaggers on both NE 8th and 244th north of the roundabout, was slow going.
More closures are set for this weekend both in Sammamish and Issaquah.
This weekend, 212th Way SE in Sammamish (also called Snake Hill Road) will be closed for maintenance and repair on Saturday, July 14, from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Meanwhile, a road closure for a good cause will take place on July 14 in Issaquah. To allow for Rotary Issaquah's Challenge Day Race, which gives participants with disabilities the chance to experience the fun of a soapbox derby race, Second Avenue Southeast will be closed (from Southeast Andrews Street to Southeast Darst Street) from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday. Access to Donnelly Lane will be provided.
