The Together Center has human service programs that help people on the Eastside, including Sammamish residents.

Together Center Executive Director Pam Mauk noted, “These providers are a fantastic addition to the campus. They will augment the array of services for East King County residents at Together Center. These organizations are also well-positioned to partner with other campus agencies, making it easier for people to find help and making human services more efficient.”

A former tenant and long-time partner, this program offers information about learning disabilities, Attention Deficit Disorders and related social issues that accompany these disorders. Families, professionals and/or adults can contact the office for extensive referrals to specialists in the community who have a background in learning and attention issues and provide services such as testing, tutoring and counseling.

One of the first nonprofit multi-tenant centers in the nation, Together Center (formerly, Family Resource Center) was designed first and foremost to lower barriers to finding help. Where East King County residents once needed to travel from Bothell to Renton or beyond to find help at individual locations, people from throughout the Eastside now find comprehensive assistance at one location in downtown Redmond.

Services include food, shelter, medical and dental care, child care assistance, youth and family counseling, mental health assistance, child care referral and more. In addition, the nonprofit campus keeps lease rates as low as possible so agencies and provides other efficiencies so agencies can focus their resources on clients. In 2010, for example, Together Center saved agencies $230,000 in lease costs alone.
