Bike Collection

Do you have an unwanted bicycle sitting in your garage? Bring it to Eastside Catholic School to donate for a good cause. Bikes are being collecting to give to ARAS through the Village Bike Project [VBP]. This program makes commuting easier for the people in Ghana. Several years ago ARAS discovered how dramatically the ownership of one bicycle transforms a barely subsisting family into one of improved security, health and self-reliance. Over the last 4 years, in support of the Village Bicycle Project, ARAS has collected thousands of bikes for Ghana alone.  Bring your donations to Eastside Catholic at 232-228th Avenue SE, Sammamish between 3 and 5 p.m. on April 27 or May 4. You will see a sign for the bikes and a large blue tent. ARAS and VBP do not collect tricycles, but they do accept any flat tires and spare parts. With questions contact Penny Williams at pwilliams@eastsidecatholic.org.
