Help "Stamp Out Hunger" by Donating Food on May 14

Sammamish residents can help battle hunger by leaving non perishable food in a bag in front of their mailboxes on May 14 for U.S. letter carriers to take to social organizations.

The event, Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, is sponsored by the National Association of Letter Carriers. Organizers are calling this the country's largest single-day event of its kind.

A group from the Kiwanis Club of Sammamish and 's Key Club will help sort the donated food at Hopelink in Redmond from noon to 5 p.m., Sammamish resident and Kiwanis member Heidi Hodges said.
