Kiwanis Club Guest Speaker: Erica Maniez, Museum Director, Issaquah History Museum

Erica Maniez has been the Director of the Issaquah History Museums for more than ten years. She received her Master’s degree in Museology from the University of Washington in 1999. Erica grew up in a small town in Maryland that was very much like Issaquah was 40 years ago.  

Bringing History to Life

A closer look at the Issaquah Historical Society and its museums. The presentation begins with an overview of events that led to the need for historic preservation, and goes on to describe the activities and achievements of the Issaquah Historical Society. Features images and audio from the museum collection.  

The Issaquah History Museums discover, preserve, and share the history of Issaquah and the surrounding area. Formed in 1972 as the Issaquah Historical Society, the organization operates two museums, cares for a collection of thousands of artifacts and photos, and provides public programming for all ages.
