Don't Flush Trouble Down the Toilet

Avoid costly sewer backups by putting these items in the trash, not down the toilet!

How can you help keep our sewer system clean? Don't flush trouble! Print out this handy list of things you should not throw into the toilet and share with your family members.

Whether you are on the Sammamish Plateau Water and Sewer District's sewer system or on a septic system, putting these items into the trash can and not the toilet may help prevent potential wastewater backups into your home and associated costly cleanup. Think trash, not toilets!

You can find out more about the District's sewer system and view photos of our crews and equipment at the Sewer Operations page of our website: http://www.sammplat.wa.org/operations-sewer.asp

Many thanks to the King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks, Wastewater Treatment Division for the "Don't Flush Trouble" flyer.
