A King County Superior Court judge r to $250,000 Monday for Kirkland’s Kelly Ann Hudson, and vehicular assault in an August crash on Juanita Drive that killed 81-year-old Joyce Parsons.

Judge Theresa Doyle lowered the bail with several conditions, including that if Hudson posts bail and is released, she must submit to weekly urinalysis, wear an alcohol detection bracelet and not consume non-prescribed drugs or alcohol.

“We ended up agreeing to the reduced bail, because we did not want her released on personal recognizance,” said Dan Donohoe, spokesman for the King County Prosecutor’s Office. “We wanted to get as many conditions as possible.”

Charging documents say Hudson, 42, admitted to police that she had consumed wine and taken a prescription anti-anxiety drug before she allegedly crossed the centerline in her minivan on the night of Aug. 7 and struck a car head-on with four people in it. Parsons, who lived just blocks away from Hudson on Kirkland’s Finn Hill, died at the scene.
and was shielded from media cameras during her arraignment later in August.

Hudson’s next court appearance is a case-setting hearing Oct. 22.
