Bank Robbery in Woodinville Thursday

Prevail Credit Union in Woodinville was robbed at gunpoint Thursday; no one was reported hurt during the crime.

An armed man robbed the  in Woodinville on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 3:47 p.m. He entered the credit union, jumped the counter and walked two tellers to the back vault at gunpoint, according to Sgt. Kathleen Larson of King County Sheriff’s Office.

After obtaining the cash and emptying out the teller drawers, the suspect jumped back over the counter and ran out of the building at 17601 140th Ave. NE. A witness saw a dye pack that was with the cash explode in the suspect's hands. Investigators anticipate that the suspect, his clothes and his vehicle were covered in a bright reddish-colored dye. Some of the money was found behind a nearby business just west of the bank, according to Sgt. Larson.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 50 years old, 6 feet tall and 220 pounds with blue eyes, wearing a gray baseball cap with a dark shirt covering his face.
