Burglars Steal $100,000 in Jewelry from The Villages on the Plateau Home

Sammamish Police say the home of a family of four was burglarized June 10 and an estimated $100,000 in valuables β€” primarily gold jewelry β€” was stolen from the home.

Unknown suspects entered the front of the home on the 22900 block of NE 19th Drive by using a small pry tool to force the front door deadbolt and door frame, cracking it and breaking the door.

The 15-year-old daughter recognized that the house had been broken into after she returned home from Eastlake High SchoolΒ  at 2:36 p.m. She first noticed debris scattered from the small table and decorations located behind the front door, now knocked down on the floor of the foyer. After she entered the kitchen and saw the drawers and cupboards open and paper on the floor, she realized that someone had been inside the home and called 911.

Computer components and a silver set in the house remained untouched. On the upstairs floor, police found jewelry boxes opened and emptied on a bed.

Police found a set of fingerprints on the back kitchen French doors, which remained unopened. The residents told police that they had been using the same cleaning service for the past 2-3 years, but recently hired a lighting contractor and another contractor who rebuilt the home's outdoor deck.
