Former Seahawk player Will Lewis said he has broad community support following allegations that his son groped a 10-year-old girl and a woman in Sammamish last week, KIRO TV reports.
The teen, accused of sexually assaulting two women, denied the charges against him Thursday as he faced a judge.
After 13 years with Seattle, Lewis, the boy's father, left his position as director of pro personnel with the Seahawks in February of this year.Previously, he also was a player with the team.
According to his bio at Seahawks.com, Lewis joined the Seahawks' football operations staff as the team's Director of Pro Personnel on May 20, 1999, following three years with the Green Bay Packers (1997-99) scouting department.
Lewis told KIRO that he’s sympathetic to everyone involved in the case.
According to the Seahawks Website, Lewis and his wife have three sons and a daughter, but the teen allegedly involved in the attacks is not being named pending a judge's decision about whether he will be tried as a juvenile or an adult.
