Homeowners Subdue Issaquah Residential Burglary Suspect

The woman was interrupted by the owners during an alleged robbery on Sunday night, who struggled with her until police arrived.

Sometimes crime doesn't pay. Issaquah homeowners walked in on a woman apparently burglarizing their home Sunday night, and detained her until police arrived and arrested her.

On Sunday, Jan. 20, at about 9:45 pm.m. Issaquah Police responded to a residential burglary in progress in the 100 block of Northwest Alder Place.

According to police, upon returning home the homeowners saw an unknown woman inside of their residence and called 911. The woman attempted to flee and was detained by the homeowner until police arrived. During her attempt to get away, she kicked and struggled with the homeowner.

The woman was found in possession of numerous items belonging to the homeowners that had been taken from inside the residence. She was described as a 30-year-old Seattle resident and was booked into the King County Jail on Burglary 1st Degree charges.

The case is under investigation by the Issaquah Police Department Patrol Division. If you have any questions or information about this case, please contact the on-duty supervisor at 425-837-3200.

We too, love having our Farmers' Market return! Opening day was a bit weather-challenged. ThankRead More you merchants for enduring the wet and cold for our new extended hours! What a wonderful sight will return to the plaza when the sunshine calls back all the families with happy, giggling children. Market day is a date of dinner out (side) & shopping (vegetables, fruits and now HedgeHog Toffee) with my husband. Doesn't get much better than that! SEE YOUR THERE! Susan Gerend
