Issaquah Police Blotter: Car, Bicycle Stolen

The following information comes from reports provided by the Issaquah Police Department for March 16-March 19. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

March 16

Attempted theft: Police were called to the 800 block of Lake Drive to investigate an attempted theft of a gazebo from Costco. The thieves were unsuccessful.

Vehicle prowl: An Issaquah resident reported that the window was broken out of a Toyota and a laptop worth $2,200 was stolen on the 1800 block of 10th Avenue NW.

Vehicle Prowl: A 2012 Mazda had its window broken and a makeup bag worth $350 was stolen, around the 4300 block of W. Lake Sammamish Parkway SE.

Suspicious persons: Police received a report of three white men possibly shooting a rifle on the 1900 block of NE Park Drive. The officer observed the men and talked with them.

Theft: A 37-year-old Issaquah woman was arrested for theft.

Suspicious person: Police investigated a report of a man ducking into the bushes near the 5000 block of NW Village Park Drive around 9:30 p.m. Police did not find the man in the area.

Vehicle theft: A resident of the 400 block of Rainier Blvd. N reported a 2007 Toyota stolen from the driveway.

March 17

Welfare check: Police were called to NW Sammamish Road to investigate a person possible stumbling into traffic around 3 a.m. The person was located near the exit ramp of I-90 at State route 900, and had apparently fallen, with cuts on his face and hand.

Theft: A bicycle worth about $1,000 was reported stolen from outside the Issaquah Library around 12:30.

Domestic Violence: Police arrested a 27-year-old Issaquah man, for fourth degree assault and interfering with reporting a crime.

March 18

Theft: A resident of the 600 block of Wildwood Boulevard SW reported that the roof of his Mazda had been cut and the key and parking placard stolen and the mirror and door panel damaged, a total of over $1,000 damage.

March 19

Vehicle prowl: Police received a report of a door lock being damaged on a car and a $200 gas card stolen.

Malicious mischief: Police received several reports of graffiti near Newport Way NW and NW Maple Street, including at the Rowley Storage Units on Maple.

Knife on school grounds: A teen male was arrested for bringing a knife to school at Tiger Mountain Community High School.

Hit-and-run: A woman reported to police that a silver Volvo had run into the back of her car and drove off around the 1700 block of Avenue NW and NW Sammamish Road. She was able to provide a license plate number to police.

Vehicle prowl: A car owner reported that someone had entered their unlocked BMW and stolen clothing items and a phone worth a total of around $1,850, near the 100 block of Rainier Blvd. N.

Vehicle prowl: Police received a report of windows broken on two cars at the 900 block of 12th Avenue NW. Nothing was stolen from one vehicle, but a laptop worth $2,075 was stolen from the other.

Vehicle prowl: Near the 2100 block of NW Poplar Way, a resident reported that the window of their Subaru had been broken and a purse stolen from the car.
