Margaret Mead Third Grader Receives Death Threat — Sammamish Police Blotter

The following information from April 8 - 18 was supplied by the Sammamish Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A Margaret Mead Elementary School third grader reportedly received a death threat scrawled on a girls bathroom wall in April, according to Sammamish police reports.

The school principal told Sammamish Police on April 18 that the girl was repeatedly threatened last month in graffiti messages left for her in the girls bathroom of the school near her classroom. The graffiti began appearing a week before spring break when the words "I hate —" and the student's name. After the words were cleaned, more graffiti that stated "I have my eye on you" and "Be afraid, be very afraid" appeared.

On April 18, the words "if you tell, you will die" appeared in the same location in the bathroom. The girl targeted by the threats didn't know who was writing them, apart from another student who "gave her a dirty look" a few weeks ago.
