The King County Sheriff's Office said two women who had been shot dead. Police are searching for Peter A. Keller, of North Bend, who is considered a person of interest in the case.
Following is a press release from the King County Sheriff's Office:
Detectives have received information from the King County Medical Examiner’s Office that the two women who were found in a house fire in North Bend had been shot and died as a result of the gunshot wounds.
The names of the victims will not be released until the Medical Examiner’s Office confirms positive identification.
Detectives are still trying to locate Peter A. Keller who resides in the house where the victims were found. Keller is considered a “person of interest” and has not been named as a suspect at this time.
King County Sheriff Steve Strachan said, “We have two victims who have been shot and killed, weapons are missing from the house, and we have not been able to contact Keller. We want to talk to him to see if he had any involvement in this case .”
Keller has no known history of violence. He is known to be an avid hiker and has spent many hours hiking the area around North Bend.
