Update: Victim in Fatal Accident Identified

The Washington State Patrol identified Ronald V Malena of Fall City as the man who died in a crash on Redmond-Fall City Road at Duthie Hill Roads.

Update: Police have identified the victim in today's fatal crash as Ronald V Malena 44, of Fall City, as the man who died in a fatal accident on SR 202 today. Michael E Carlson, 63, of Woodinville, was transported to Overlake Hospital after the crash. Previous story: State Route 202 near Duthie Hill Road has been reopened to traffic in both directions, as officers continue to investigate the fatal crash that happened just before 1 p.m. Friday, June 15.

One man is dead and several more may be injured after a two-car collision on Redmond-Fall City Road,Β  also called state Route 202, near Duthie Hill Road.

The Washington State Patrol is still investigating the scene and hasn't released the identification of those involved, but Trooper Julie Judson said that apparently the driver who died was pulling onto highway 202 and his car was struck on the driver's side.

There appear to have been some injuries of those in the other car, but the extent is not yet known.

The Washington State Deaprtment of Transportation is advising that people look for alternate routes, as Eastbound SR 202 blocked east of Duthie Hill Road and may be for some time.
