The Issaquah Press reported this evening that absences increased as much as 70 percent of the Issaquah School District student body was absent today, in the face of anonymous Internet threats that put police in high gear and shuttered Skyline High School for the day.
Sammamish-Issaquah Patch Facebook users noted that many Eastlake High School students, in the neighboring Lake Washington School District, opted to stay home to, due to the threats.
For Friday, Sept. 22, Eastside Catholic School has canceled classes to go over its security on school grounds.
Meanwhile, though the police are taking the threat seriously, there are some indications that it may not be an imminent threat.
What will your students be doing tomorrow? Will they be going to school? Why or why not?
