Robber Hits Issaquah Wells Fargo Bank on Gilman Boulevard

Issaquah police said the man presented a note indicating he had a gun and demanding money at about 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon, then fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

 

Issaquah police and the FBI are searching for a man who robbed the Wells Fargo Bank branch on Gilman Boulevard Saturday afternoon, presenting a note indicating he had a gun and demanding money.

The suspect fled westbound on foot with an undetermined amount of money after robbing the bank at about 4 p.m. Officers searched the area but could not find him.

The man did not produce a weapon, said Issaquah Police Sgt. Bob Porter, but presented a note indicating he had one.

“We have not apprehended him yet,” Porter said. “Any witnesses who might have seen anything we hope will give us a call.”

The suspect is described as a black man in his 20’s, about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds. He was wearing glasses, a black jacket and black pants.

The FBI and Issaquah Police Department are investigating the robbery. The bank is at 1190 NW Gilman Blvd.  Anyone with potential information can reach Issaquah police at 425-837-3200.
