Sammamish Police Blotter: Man Tries Forgery for Oxycodone, Fraudulent Charges Discovered on Accounts, Including 40 Hits on one

The following information was supplied by the Sammamish Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Aug. 14

Forged Prescriptions: Sammamish police were dispatched to  in response to a forgery in progress. Police received a description of the suspect and stopped him as he was on his way out of the store. The man had a prescription written out to a woman that he said he did not know, and had her state of Washington services card. The man said someone else had given him the prescription and card. The man was later booked into King County Jail on two outstanding warrants. The prescription had been for Oxycodone.

Monday, Aug. 15

Burglary: A Sammamish man living on 212th Avenue Southeast contacted police after discovering that someone had broken a lock on a shed door. The suspect appeared to use a pipe to pry the door open far enough to pop the lock off.

Tuesday, Aug. 16

Fraud: A Sammamish man living on 204th Avenue Northeast contacted police after his bank notified him of more than 40 fraudulent charges on his account. The man had recently been away on vacation, during which time $9,673.12 in charges were made. The account has since been closed.

Assault: Sammamish police arrested a 35-year-old woman living on Northeast 2nd Street after she got into a physical altercation with her domestic partner. The woman allegedly broke down a door, slapped a phone from her partner’s hand and spit on her.

Larceny: Several victims living on 208th Avenue Northeast contacted police after their vehicles were broken into overnight. A window was shattered on one of the vehicles and a GPS unit was stolen. Fingerprints were taken at the scene.

Wednesday, Aug. 17

Fraud: A Sammamish woman living on 220th Place Northeast contacted police after her bank informed her that someone was using her debit card information to make fraudulent charges. Charges of $532.25, $462.19, and $960.00 were made. The woman still has her debit card and believes a counterfeit was somehow made.

Larceny: A Sammamish woman living on 211th Place Northeast contacted police after discovering that someone had stolen the handicapped placard from her vehicle. The placard had been hidden under the driver’s seat.

Driving While License Revoked: Sammamish police arrested an 18-year-old man for driving with a suspended license after he was pulled over for nearly losing control of his vehicle on 228th Avenue Northeast. He had taken his eyes off the road and hit the curb on his left side and then nearly hit the police patrol car traveling beside him.

Thursday, Aug. 18

Larceny: A Sammamish woman contacted police after her purse, wallet, iPhone and cash were stolen from her car while parked near Shoo Fly Farm.
