Sammamish Police Blotter: Security Footage Seen on Cell Phone Reveals Burglarized House and ID, Credit Cards and Checkbook Swiped From Open Garages

Saturday, Sept. 17

Vehicle Recovery: A vehicle stolen in Issaquah was found abandoned in Sammamish on Southeast 31 Place after OnStar disabled the vehicle’s engine and notified police of the vehicle’s location. Finger prints were taken from the vehicle.

Sunday, Sept. 18

Larceny: A manager at Cordial Limousine contacted police after a recently fired employee failed to turn in a week’s worth of revenue and a company Shell credit card. The driver had been fired for refusing to take a drug test. The owner of the company was currently out of the country and was told to follow-up with detectives when he returned.

Monday, Sept. 19

Burglary: Police deputies responded to a residential burglary after the owner of a house for sale on Southeast 17th Place reviewed security camera footage on his cell phone and discovered that the house had been burglarized. When police arrived they found that the real estate lock box had been broken into. Police were still waiting for an inventory of stolen items from the homeowner. 

Driving While License Revoked: Police pulled over and arrested a Woodinville man on East Lake Sammamish Parkway after a routine check revealed that he was driving with a suspended license. The man contacted a friend who came and drove the vehicle away.

Mischief and Nuisance: A woman living on Southeast 28th Street contacted police after her house was egged on several occasions during the previous two weeks. The egging always occurred between 11 p.m. and 12:30 am. The woman requested that area checks be made during those times when possible.

Larceny: A man living on Southeast 2nd Place contacted police after a backpack containing two Airsoft rifles, two ski masks and an old Army jacket was stolen from his car overnight while parked in his driveway.

Tuesday, Sept. 20

Larceny: A woman living on Southeast 47th Way contacted police after her vehicle was broken into. The passenger side window had been smashed and a camera, a cell phone, a purse and $200 in cash were stolen.

Wednesday, Sept. 21

Burglary: A woman living on 272nd Place Southeast contacted police after a laptop, two checkbooks and two banks cards were stolen from her vehicle while it had been parked in a garage that had been left open.

Burglary: A woman living on 263rd Lane Southeast called police after a purse containing credit cards, an ID and cash was stolen from her vehicle while it had been parked in a garage that had been left open. 

Thursday, Sept. 22

Burglary: A couple living on Southeast 24th Way contacted police after the woman’s purse was stolen from her vehicle while it had been parked in a garage that had been left open. When speaking with police, the couple learned from their bank that six transactions of $500 each had been made at an ATM in Issaquah using the woman’s card.

Burglary: A man living on 239th Way Southeast contacted police after a laptop was stolen from his car while it was parked in a garage which had bee left open.

Driving While License Revoked: Police pulled over and arrested a Sammamish man on Southeast 24th Street after a routine check revealed that he was driving with a suspended license. The man contacted a co-worker who came and drove the car away.

Friday, Sept. 23

Hit and Run: A Sammamish man contacted police after he discovered damage done to the passenger side of his vehicle while he was at a football game at .

Saturday, Sept. 24

Larceny: A Sammamish man living on East Lake Sammamish Shore Lane Northeast contacted police after he discovered that his car had been broken into and a backpack containing a camera, a cell phone, a wallet and clothing had been stolen.

Fraud: A Sammamish woman living on Northeast 12th Place contacted police after she noticed that charges totaling $51.55 had been made using her debit card in Chicago. The woman still had the card in her possession.
