Police Identify Businesses That Rejected Effort by Undercover Teen to buy Alcohol

The sting operation occurred last month after police heard concerns from residents about minors purchasing alcohol.

The has given the names of ten businesses that declined to sell alcohol to an undercover teenager during last month's sting operation.

On its Facebook page, the department on Aug. 30 identified the businesses as:

  • on 228th Avenue Southeast
  • Chevron on 228th Avenue Southeast
  • Jackson's Shell on 228th Avenue Southeast
  •  on Issaquah-Pine Lake Road Southeast
  • on 228th Avenue Northeast
  • on 228th Avenue Northeast
  • on 228th Avenue Northeast
  • on Northeast Inglewood Hill Road
  • on 228th Avenue Northeast
  • 7/11 on East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast

During the sting operation, nine businesses on the Plateau sold alcohol to a 19-year-old, who was working for the Washington State Liquor Control Board, police reported. Police made six arrests.

Sammamish police said they conducted the sting after residents voiced concerns about the availability of alcohol to minors in the city.
