Sammamish Teen Pleads Guilty in Sexual Assaults

An Eastlake student pleaded guilty as a juvenile on charges filed against him including indecent liberties, communicating with a minor for immoral purposes and burglary, in a plea deal that send him home for now and could save him from further jail time.

A Sammamish teen pleaded guilty Friday, as a juvenile, to charges filed against him including indecent liberties, communicating with a minor for immoral purposes and burglary,

The plea is the result of an agreement with prosecutors that sends him home for now and could save him from further jail time, KIRO TV reported.

The agreement includes a sentencing recommendation of four years probation and continuing treatment and community service, but it's up to the judge to determine the final sentence. The boy will have to register as a sex offender and is not allowed to have contact with his victims during his release.

The assaults took place on May 7 in Sammamish, starting with the molestation of a 10-year-old girl who was on her way home from school. She fought back and was able to escape to a neighbor’s house. The neighbor walked her home where her parents contacted police.

In the second assault, a few hours later, a 26-year-old woman was about to enter her condo when she was attacked from behind and her attacker grabbed her crotch. The suspect ran away as soon as she screamed. She immediately told a neighbor, who walked around the complex looking for the suspect. The neighbor photographed a young man he saw nearby who appeared to match her initial description and provided the photo to the officers on scene, which led to the teen's arrest.
