Snoqualmie Man Arrested After Head-On Collision on State Route 169

Washington State Patrol detectives say drugs or alcohol were involved and a Snoqualmie man was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault after the crash, which sent a 19-year-old REnton man to the hospital.

A 41-year-old Snoqualmie man was arrested following a head-on collision on State Route 169 in Renton Saturday night, a Washington State Patrol memo said Sunday.

A 19-year-old Renton man was headed northbound on SR 169 at about 10:50 p.m. when a southbound vehicle driven by the Snoqualmie resident crossed the center line at 186th (milepost 16) and struck him head-on.

Detectives were investigating the cause of the accident though indicated drugs or alcohol was involved. The Snoqualmie man, who also sustained injuries, was booked at the King County Jail for vehicular assault.

The Renton man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for his injuries.
